Interact Club

Interact is a club for youth ages 12-18 who want to connect with other young people in their community or school. Interact club members have fun while carrying out service projects and learning about the world. Interact clubs are encouraged to organize service projects that benefit their community and build international understanding.

During 2016 the Rotary Club of Rosslyn-Fort Myer sponsored the establishment of an Interact Club at the Arlington Career Centre, which serves students at the high school level. The Interact Club nominated their own president and an executive committee under the guidance of the Rotary sponsorship. We have since left the Interact Club to run independently and only attend an invitation.

In the spring there was a Rotary District 7610 wide speech competition and the Interact Club president from Arlington Career Centre participated and came second in the whole district.

The Interact Club has been working on their own projects and in May 2016, the club embarked on a "shoe box" donation drive to aid with a few emergency items for some of the victims of the earthquake in Ecuador. This was very successful as they got all the other students in the school to participate in.  We look forward to more successful projects from the Interact Club under the guidance of our club.
