This short documentary, created by Soren and Eriksen Dickens, was filmed on the ground in India showing Rotarians distributing polio vaccine to children. When Rotary began Its global vaccination program more  than 40 years ago, there were more than 350,000 new polio cases a year. Last year there were just 140. That's the power of people helping people.

Rosslyn Rotary Supports the
Rozanna Project

On October 12, five of our members dined together, and another zoomed in to listen to Walter Ruby present on the 7610 eClub’s global project. The goal is to provide two days of certified emergency room training for 40 Palestinian doctors from the Jerusalem area and Ramallah.  The Rotary grant pays for the Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) training of the Palestinian doctors, who will train together with a similar number of Israeli emergency room doctors in a hospital outside Tel Aviv.  The course will be provided under the auspices of the Rozanna project, and will enable Palestinian and Israeli colleagues to build life-long personal, professional and collective relationships.  This will improve the care of trauma patients, and give the participants the tools to train their local colleagues in basic trauma care.

The Rosslyn-Ft Myer Rotary club previously donated $500 to the eClub’s Project Rozana’s Wheels for Hope, and we plan to contribute to the Advanced Trauma Life Support project as well.  We encourage other 7610 club’s to also support the project.
